Here We Go!

The rosters for the NKYA Fall session are complete and in the Coaches' hands. You should be hearing from a Coach soon regarding practice schedules. I'll be completing the game schedule in the next day or two and will post that here as soon as I'm done. I will also be ordering shirts this week and if they come in in time I will try to get them out to the Coaches for their practices next week. Otherwise we'll have them to hand out at the first game.
You'll notice that to the right there is a link to the practice schedule. Keep in mind that this schedule might change depending on what Coaches work out with their teams. During the first week the fields will not be lined and the goals won't be out but we will be getting that taken care of next Saturday (anybody who wants to help, let me know).
The overall registration numbers for this session are not as high as last year but we can still have a great session of soccer, especially if we be sure to do one thing: be patient. Some of the Coaches are new to this, be patient with them. They're volunteering their time and trying to do their best. Many of the kids are new to the game, be patient with them. NKYA isn't select soccer. We are here specifically for the purpose of introducing kids to the game and giving them a place to enjoy it in a relaxed recreational setting. All of our referees are either certified or in training to be certified and we do our best to train them and guide them but most of them are young: be patient with them, and respectful. And finally, be patient with the NKYA Administration team. We are volunteers and we're doing this for the love of it.
I'll see you all out on the pitch soon. Be safe and have fun.
