The next session of indoor soccer begins this weekend with U4 and U6 games on Saturday and U8 and U10 games on Sunday. The game schedules can be found by following the links in the list to the right. Unfortunately we did not get enough U12 players signed up to have a league for that age group.
Rosters were distributed to the Coaches on Monday of this week so hopefully they are contacting their teams. Just in case you haven't been contacted yet here is a link to the complete league roster so you can find out what team you're on and then look up your game schedule.
Winter/Spring Rosters
That list is sorted alphabetically by player's last name. Find your player, check the Coach's name and then go to the schedule link to see when your team plays. If you are in the U4 or U6 divisions the game schedule is set up so that the teams get twenty minutes of practice time prior to their games. For instance, if you have a 9:00 AM game time your team will practice from 9:00 to 9:20 and then the referees will get the game started at 9:25. U4 games last about 22 minutes. U6 games last about 26 minutes.
The U8 and U10 teams are getting practice time this session on Saturday afternoons. I'm working with the Coaches now on putting together a schedule for practices and I'll post that when it's done. NKYA has to pay for the use of the field for these practices so we will probably only have practice for the first three weeks of the session.
If you are new to NKYA soccer or to playing at Midwest Sports here are few other things you might need to know:
If you need information on what sort of shoes or other gear your player needs follow this link to "Notes on Gear, Shoes, etc."
If you need to get directions to Midwest their website is at Midwestsportsonline.com.
Finally, please be aware that Midwest is a private business and NKYA rents the field from them for the use of our soccer leagues. Midwest charges an entry fee of $3 per adult on game days. NKYA does not receive any portion of that fee. NKYA gives Midwest more than half of the registration fee we collect as payment for use of the field. The remainder of the registration fee goes to paying for shirts, referees, practice time, insurance and equipment. We try to keep the cost as low as we can and we couldn't do that without our dedicated volunteer Coaches.
If I left anything out don't hesitate to contact me at nkyacoachpat@gmail.com.
Let's play some soccer!
