Keeper Clinic!

The one thing every team needs from U6 on up is a reliable keeper.  Many kids get started playing goal keeper because they think it's cool to wear the yellow pinnie but they soon learn that it's the toughest position to play, requiring both skill and guts.   Any Coach who has a player or two who reliably volunteers to step into the goalie box is a lucky Coach.  The irony is that most Coaches at the recreational level find it difficult to actually set aside valuable practice time for working with their goal keepers.  With that in mind we thought it would be a good idea to bring in some local High School keepers to work with our kids in a clinic setting where they can focus exclusively on developing those skills they need in order to take control of the box and own the goal.

Our keeper clinic will be held November 12th from 3:30 to 5:30 PM at Midwest Sports.  The cost per player is $10, just enough to cover the field rental cost if we get about twenty participants.  If you are interested please R.S.V.P. to Pat Michels at nkyacoachpat@gmail.com.  I will also have a sign-up sheet at the games this weekend.  We will be collecting the $10 fee on the day of the clinic.
