U8 and U10 Schedule Changes. Week 2 Action.

The U8 Schedule has been amended to make room for a few double headers in the U10 division.  Please take a look at both schedules and note the changes.  Four of the games for the Feb. 5th U10 schedule have been moved to Saturday, Feb. 4th.  That's Super Bowl weekend so we need to be finished with games on Sunday by 5:00 PM.

 Once again I got to watch nearly every game this weekend and the action was great.  I'm seeing kids improving and learning from watching some of the better players.  I'm seeing kids trying new things and taking risks in expanding their skills and confidence.

I wish we had the field time available to offer more practice situations for the players.  I know they have fun playing and I hope they aren't too caught up in the wins and losses but from a coaching perspective what really matters is that they get the chance to improve their skills and their understanding of the game.

I will be announcing the clinic opportunity for this session in a week or so.  I'm hoping to have something put together to focus on the basics of ball control technique.
