NKYA will be hosting a free clinic on deceptive dribbling and finishing, presented by Coach Eric Henderson of the Happy Feet/ Legends Soccer Club. During this clinic Coach Henderson will work with players in small groups, teaching them a few basic deceptive moves then letting them put those moves into practice in one-on-one settings or small sided games to incorporate finishing skills. The clinic consists of two 75 minute sessions on successive Saturdays and the dates are February 11th, 3:00 PM to 4:15 PM and February 18th, 3:00 PM to 4:15 PM. The clinic is open to all current NKYA players in the U8 and U10 divisions. The clinic is free of charge but space will be limited so please RSVP to nkyacoachpat@gmail.com right away if you are interested in attending.
Registration for the Winter/Spring session of indoor soccer is open. You can register now at NKYA.com. The session should begin the second weekend of March. In an effort to maintain a truly co-ed league we will, pending approval by the Board of Directors, be instituting a firm policy on the number of girls required on each team. NKYA has not had any such policy in the past but it has become apparent that one is necessary. I am going to propose that every team roster for U8 and up have at least four female players. I welcome your comments on this idea.
