Winter I Session Opening. Coaches Meeting Monday.

I will be meeting with all Coaches on Monday evening to distribute rosters and schedules and to go over some rules issues that came up during the last session.  U4 and U6 Coaches should be at Midwest Sports at 6:00 PM Monday and Coaches for U8 and up should arrive by 6:30 PM.

Once Coaches have their rosters they will begin contacting their teams.  Shirts will be available at your first game.

The basic schedule framework for the divisions will remain unchanged with U4 playing first on Saturday followed by U6 and then U12 in the afternoon.  U8 and U10 will play on Sunday afternoons.  We have eight U8 teams and at least ten U10 teams so the Sunday game schedule will start at 11:50 AM with game times every fifty minutes.  That gives us a final game start time of 6:30 PM.

I regret to announce that once again we will probably not be able to field teams for our teen-age divisions.  I have eleven players total signed up for U15 and thirteen total signed up for U18.  I regret that this keeps happening.  Working with Midwest, NKYA instituted a team-rate for the teen-agers in an effort to make playing more affordable.  While I had several inquiries from teams about signing up only one of those followed through and registered.  I am going to contact all the currently registered players and explain the situation in the hope that they can then contact friends and help us get enough players together to have a league for these divisions.  But it doesn't look good.
